Marignane, Marseille airport, here that reminds us of our previous address sedentary – one year next to the Cannes-Mandelieu. The aircraft noise does not reach the level of sound of our places in Amstelveen, Netherlands, where airliners Schiphol literally passed us over head ! As for helicopter blades, we are so accustomed that they can sometimes take off next to us without disturbing our sleep. 😀

We turn a moment in the city to find places like each plant more than a few days in a new place (Amsterdam pour la dernière en date 😉 ) and we end up parking in the afternoon right beside the Etang de Berre.

Ronald training starts tomorrow and we enjoy a sunny Thursday on the semblance of a peninsula called here The Jaï – according to a citation listed in the Tourist Office where I got a plan, Marignane is the sunniest city in France, check ! Jai has been a tourist attraction (perhaps it is still summer) but where do we find that disused swimming pool, Desert parking aid station converted into dwellings. Beach sand and shells, vegetables, we elect live here (without ever being bothered) for the week… almost, since we have a long weekend free to explore the surroundings : terms of Pennes, the Pennes-Mirabeau, Vitrolles.

People are very friendly in the region : Marignane when we ask to post office letter carrier who warns that the road ahead is blocked, she finally sailed our mail for us easier ; Pennes-Mirabeau in the small town center is very pretty but built on a large rock that surprises us at a street corner, two ladies warn us about the narrowness of the passage, but a man guide us and move smoothly ; Vitrolles a man comes spontaneously ask if we got lost we saw them turn : not, we are looking for a fountain to fill our jerry can of water, hop it indicates the end of the parking lot where he opens a shed and a tap !
