4 March 2011, we leave our winter retreat, a new act begins for us. A late start in late afternoon and only after highway for our future journey. Out in Le Muy, we drove on the sea to St. Tropez, area that I did not know. Our home base : the range of the Garonne Pradet where we had spent a few nights there four months. The area is always so pleasant.
Saturday found us in Valletta at my grandmother, before a ride in Toulon. Some streets are very narrow in this city… We park to see an acquaintance of Ronald holding a bar ; an aperitif concert might have been possible if the city did not ban any live music (same acoustic !) in the neighborhood. A little disappointed by the city, we return to Valletta, the studio’Olivier Campana this time.
We eat breakfast and lunch at my grandmother before raising the sails, Martigues through Sanary, Bandol, Saint Cyr, Cassis and a piece of mountain to arrive at Marseille. The evening goes Homestay, Albane, a former colleague training.
The rhythm of Martigues, we spend our Monday morning between reading and music, before starting to walk, accompanied by the sun and mistral, on the Island, a small piece of land between the two neighborhoods : Ferrieres and Jonquières. In the evening I accompanied Ronald approach that few pubs on the advice of Albano, this summer : Evan’s, Red Bear, Pink Floyd…
Small hook back, to Lambesc with cousins, who welcomed us with a great meal for lunch : chicken cheese and cornflakes… yum ! They take us for a walk in La Barben walk around the castle, then above Vernègues, on a plateau where the ruins lie.
We dine with the family in Salon-de-Provence and take the road to the next Wednesday morning Poussan. Arles, the Camargue : his Flemish, its herons, horses, Acute dead : its medieval city, its range motorhome 12 EUR ! And should see his air area ! Disgusted, between pay parking and free places prohibited for motorhomes we did not even visit the city. A stop on the beaches of the Grande Motte and another in downtown Montpellier. We did not stay long but Montpellier seems to be a nice town, clean and illuminated. Still small roads or county we can Poussan where we stayed four days at my aunt. Good food, games and a tour of Sète, we redécollons difficult Sunday afternoon fleeing bad weather.
Nothing new except the bad news from Japan but fortunately this is not the purpose of your trip !
big kisses goodbye on your website
