And here we go again ! Everyone finished the job, the camper is ready for the weekend. 21H30, we leave Le Cannet to take the motorway towards Lyon, Mister and I in our rolling house, my sister and her companion in their car. Two hours drive to stop near Orange, on a rest area to have a bite to eat together before they continue to Clermont-Ferrand to see family. We, we spend our first night in the motorhome. A pleasant night, although awakened by the incipient activity of the motorway service area around 8 am. A good thing since we have about 180 kilometers to cover with an average of 100 km/h and some peaks at 120 on the descents !

The Rhône, a few swans and quite a few people on the road, we have arrived in Lyon, third largest city in France. Nous retrouvons une de mes amies du lycée qui nous emmène non loin de l’Opéra trouver des places gratuites. La maison garée, nous retournons chez mon amie pour nous rafraîchir avant de gravir la Croix-Rousse pour rejoindre d’autres acolytes. Quelques bières sur une place au soleil, un tartare dans une brasserie et une sieste pour se préparer au spectacle manouche qui va se dérouler sur la place du Gros Caillou. Assis dans l’herbe, nous sommes loin des guitares saturés de Metallica mais la soirée se déroule tranquillement, clôturée avec éclat par quelques musiciens des Balkans jouant du cuivre au milieu du public !

A first night for four in the motorhome which again goes smoothly despite the heat around 8 a.m. : we hadn't thought to check if we would be parked in the shade ! Breakfast and shower at my friend's house before going to the station to look for three other friends who disembark around 2 p.m.. It is in the grass and in acoustic music that we await the arrival of a last thief. reunited, we treat ourselves to a mega burger in a local pub… and head to the Halle Tony Garnier, six in the motorhome, four in the car. parked, we just have to wait for the start of the concert…

Mythical ! A first group barely heard (High On Fire), a pretty cool second one (Vol beat) and here they come on the round stage : James Hetfield (guitar/vocals), Lars Ulrich (battery), Kirk Hammett (Guitar) and Robert Trujillo (basse). fans everywhere, sweat, beers and songs that follow one another to leave us empty but happy.

Slept late, up early, for me it's a return by train to go to work, Mr returns with the motorhome during the day… The images of this first weekend with our new “Mr. Big” (still nameless !) are still dancing before our eyes !
