“Laughter is to man what beer is to draft.” Alphonse Allais

Photo port Fremantle

We have still come closer to the coasts today, direction Fremantle, After yesterday's idleness. Half -hour route by train, where time is threatening, but arrived at this small coastal town, the sun manages to break through the clouds, promising us a beautiful day !

Fremantle Street

In the streets of Fremantle, architectural styles mix a little, giving the whole thing a strange but pleasant side. Sir guides us, my cousin and me, through the city, towards the edge of the ocean. We reach a small park, which once crossed, reveals a brand new statue : that of Bon Scott – first singer of AC DC, rock band n’ roll australia… for those to whom the name would mean nothing ! A few days ago, returning from Rockingham, we had already visited his grave.

Once the star is machine-gunned, we move towards the port and its wooden pontoons. Hunger in the stomach, we stop for a meal at Char Char Bull before continuing, looking for the ferry to Rottnest Island, that a guy points out to us on the other side of the point. My cousin tells us something else, the price of the crossing… $51 ! After a knowing look, we stop at Little Creatures Brewing, attracted by large vats.

Beer vats

Yes, these are indeed vats filled with beers, and they are not the only ones – although the largest ! Little Creatures is a bar and restaurant that brews its own beer. The welcome is warm and the barmaid even allows us to taste the different beers to be able to make our choice.. So we settle down there, a terrace, facing the port and the ocean… to discuss everything and nothing, sunbathing under an olive tree – eh yes, they also have rosemary, eh fan de diou ! Nice day!

PS : all Singapore photos are now online in the menu “Photos”, those of Perth and its surroundings should not take long. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, we leave the area, so don't worry if you don't have any news. Until I find the Internet !
