“Lack of exercise, we end up rusting.” Scottish proverb

Vertigo's block. If this is some comments in response to visitors and maintenance updates, I have done almost nothing on Booklets Backpackers not far from one year, or two ! A hinge and prolific year after which it will have to stretch it all and pick up the pace publications : note taking, research, writing, Photo processing, video… and yes it's work !

Nothing new on the site except the redesign of the page Year-round living in a motorhome but lots of ideas in the works : finish editing australia videos, correct some articles, create a parking FAQ, Practical pages on motorhomes, Australia, maybe change host, maybe get a domain name, set up a donation plugin on the idea that visitors can offer us a coffee… because as I said it's work but I do not want to monetize this site by invading you with advertisements !

But enough of “to do list” boring, back on the road ! You were able to follow the reboot of TNT through a new author (not, not, it was not me but the gentleman behind the feather… the keyboard) whose last part of his trilogy has just been released (yes, yes, anti-dated as we know how to do so well to compensate for the lack of network or time). So you know what territory we are on and I suggest, accompanying my arrival, better get your bearings before going to explore it…

Professional retraining successfully completed on 3 August, I left Marseille for a brief farewell tour before taking off on Tuesday 8 August at 5:35 p.m.… well, not exactly, the weather having delayed the first Nice-London flight by an hour and a half, turning a long layover at Gatwick into a forced march through the airport corridors. Having lost the thread of the panels “Flight connection” I found myself in the arrivals hall looking for the departures hall but was able to take off again in time for Glasgow airport where a Dutch-Australian captured me driving an old French motorhome a few minutes before the twelve strokes of midnight.

You may be as surprised as I am, but my first awakening in Scotland was to the sun heating the nasturtium a little too much. ! That was for the good surprise, the second is pretty bad : Glasgow and its surroundings are worthy of certain Marseille districts, it's an open dump ! The locals have no respect for their environment… or no trash can ?

A Glasgow Museum and The Thistle Man

We stay in town until the weekend, discovering a new open mic – free stage evening where everyone can participate under the direction of the show host – Thursday evening at the Pacific on Dumbarton Road where we go on foot before taking the metro for the return – coming soon a new Practical page on Scotland which we hope to fill in the following weeks.

PS. : nouvel album dans les Snapshots !

  1. Oh yesyou’re back? Great !!!

    big kisses

    Take care

    Marc
